Due to the weather conditions the following events have been
cancelled:

New centre to lead medical imaging commercialization

With the goal of fast-tracking innovations from the lab to the
marketplace, the Federal Government today announced $61.1 million
in grants to five new Centres of Excellence for Commercialization
and Research (CECR), including $13.3 million to The University of
Western Ontario.

Winter storm update

UPDATE 7:12 p.m. – With winter storm conditions continuing, The
University of Western Ontario’s administration is monitoring the
situation closely, including working with Campus Police and the
London Transit Commission to assess road conditions. A decision on
whether to resume classes and exams will be made by tomorrow, Dec.
7, at 6 a.m. and the information shared in the following
ways: <br />

Brescia, Engineering to hold Montreal Massacre ceremonies

The Circle Women’s Centre at Brescia University College invites
the community to attend a Ritual of Re-Membering in the Brescia
Auditorium on Monday, Dec. 6 at noon.

UPDATE: The Ritual of Re-Membering at Brescia University College
scheduled for noon today, and the Montreal Massacre Commemoration,
organized by the Women’s Events Committee, that was to take
place in Victoria Park at 5:30 p.m. today, have both been cancelled
due to inclement weather and will not be rescheduled.

While The University of Western Ontario prides itself in offering
‘the best student experience,’ the anticipation is more
international students will soon come to understand what it means
to be purple and white.

The University of Western Ontario is looking to assist the London
and Area Food Bank ease the need of thousands of London and area
families this holiday season.

In the 2010 budget, the Ontario government announced a goal of
raising the post-secondary attainment rate from 60 per cent
currently to 70 per cent, with a place for every qualified Ontarian
wanting to attend college or university.
