Linda Miller has been re-appointed to a second term as the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS) vice-provost through June 30, 2019. She has served as vice-provost since the formation of the school in 2008.
Prior to joining the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences in 1993, Miller taught in the Psychology department, Faculty of Education and in the Part-Time and Continuing Education programs. In addition to her role as vice-provost, she has served on many faculty and university committees, including the Senate and Board of Governors
“I hope you will join the Selection Committee and me in celebrating Linda’s re-appointment,” said Janice Deakin, provost and vice-president (academic). “She has provided exceptional leadership during the school’s formative period and she received very strong endorsement for a second term from our campus community during the review process. I am confident that, with your continued support, she will continue to provide effective leadership in graduate and postdoctoral studies across our campus community.”
Miller’s appointment was advanced at the recommendation of the Senate Selection Committee for SGPS, and has received the formal endorsement of the president and Western’s Board of Governors through the Board’s Senior Operations Committee.
