Police continue hunt for vehicle that struck cyclist

Western’s Campus Community Police Service and London Police Service continue to seek the public’s assistance with a hit-and-run collision that took place on campus in the early morning hours of Nov. 3.

At approximately 1:25 a.m., a cyclist was struck by a car and thrown to the ground while riding in the bike lane along University Drive on Western’s campus. The driver of the car fled the scene. The student cyclist was treated and released at University Hospital.

Campus police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle involved in this incident. Police describe the vehicle as a dark-coloured, compact vehicle similar to a Chevrolet Cobalt with significant damage to the front passenger side.
