The Western community is mourning the death of Francis Fondoh, 24, a French Studies student at Huron University College, who died Tuesday, Jan. 14, following a brief illness.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, in Huron’s Chapel. An overflow room with a video feed of the service will be set up next door in Huron’s Great Hall, where a reception will be held following the service. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Chapel.
A funeral will follow at a later date in Cameroon where Fondoh will be repatriated.
Fondoh is survived by his mother, Patience, as well as family and friends.
Western will lower the flag on University College on Tuesday, Jan. 21, in Fondoh’s honour.
