Members of the University of Western Ontario Faculty Association (UWOFA) and Professional and Managerial Association (PMA) will receive a 1.25 per cent salary increase this year, followed by 1 per cent increases each of the next three years, according to terms of separate agreements recently finalized for both organizations.
On Tuesday, Western’s Board of Governors ratified a new four-year collective agreement with UWOFA, which represents about 1,627 faculty members of whom 1,032 are full-time probationary or tenured, 202 are full-time limited-term and 393 are part-time.
The agreement was ratified by 93 per cent of UWOFA members during voting, which ended Monday. UWOFA’s last agreement expired June 30.
Last week, the Board approved a new four-year agreement with PMA. PMA represents about 1,200 full-time employees engaged in managerial and professional roles at Western.
The agreement was ratified with 97 per cent voting in favour on Nov. 18. PMA’s last agreement expired Oct. 31.
