Western’s Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women & Children has been named among 20 global organizations chosen as finalists for the fourth annual Avon Communications Awards, which recognize outstanding communications campaigns that are helping end violence against women. One of four nominees in the Innovative Campaign Award category, the centre was recognized for its Make It Our Business campaign, which provides education to workplaces about recognizing and responding to domestic violence.
