The annual Spring Perspectives on Teaching Conference, a day of workshops for faculty, graduate students, librarians, postdoctoral scholars and staff, is scheduled Wednesday, May 13, in the Social Science Centre.
Mathew Ouellett, associate provost and director of the Office for Teaching and Learning at Detroit’s Wayne State University, will lead the keynote session. His presentation, Realizing the University of the Future: An Institution-wide Approach to Pedagogical Change, will address what we know about how people learn, how higher education systems change and how to engage colleagues in classroom and system-wide innovation practices that close such gaps.
The conference also includes plenary and concurrent sessions, including Social Justice in Higher Education, Innovative Assessments at Western, Faculty-Librarian Collaboration and Mental Health and Wellness in the Classroom.
