Daniel Ansari, left, Canada Research Chair in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience in Western’s Department of Psychology, joined, from left, Jeff Dixon, Physiology & Pharmacology; Beth MacDougall-Shackleton, Biology; German Gutierrez, federal candidate for the NDP in London North Centre; and four other local candidates at last week’s Get Science Right town hall discussion on science policy and funding in Canada. The event was co-sponsored by the University of Western Ontario Faculty Association (UWOFA) and the Canadian Association of University Teachers and held in the McKellar Room last Wednesday. Ed Holder, Member of Parliament for London West and Minister of State (Science and Technology), was invited but not in attendance. Visit getscienceright.ca for more information about the campaign.
