Jennifer Mills, Community Educator for Partners in Caring – A Community Response to Refugee Trauma at the London Cross Cultural Learner Centre, will be the special guest lecturer at The University of Western Ontario on Thursday, Feb. 26.
The lecture, titled “Refugees, Health and Trauma: Barriers to Resettlement” will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. in Room 5220 of the Social Science Building.
The lecture is part of the colloquium series of Western’s Collaborative Graduate Program in Migration and Ethnic Relations and the Centre for Research on Migration and Ethnic Relations (MER). MER connects graduate students, faculty, policy makers, and community stakeholders to study questions of migration, ethnic relations, cultural diversity, and the integration of migrants in Canada and internationally.
This colloquium and all others in the MER series are open to the Western community, and admission is free.
