Let the greenings begin.
The Friends of the Gardens (FOGs) invites the community to the 16th annual plant sale on May 12 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The sale will be held in the B&G building courtyard, ground floor, between B&G rooms 0120 and 0187, across from Material Sciences Addition room 0203 (rain or shine).
Proceeds support undergraduate student bursaries. Any money left over from bursaries goes to the gardens around the B&G building.
Perennials, annuals, biennials, herbs, vegetables, fruits, ornamental grasses and house plants will be available, although fewer in number as a result of a move forced by construction.
A list of available plants will be posted soon on the website.
FOGs volunteers gratefully accept plant donations although they must be potted in soil, labelled and left at the B&G loading dock and clearly marked: “FOGs”. Unwanted plant pots and trays can be left in the same location. Again, please label “FOGs”.
Left over plants will be for sale in the ame area May 13-15, 12 noon to 1 pm. FOGs may have more plants for sale during the summer.
