Eileen Grainger, chief operating officer in the Faculty of Health Sciences, has won the Nancy Kendall Award for contributions to the Professional and Managerial Association employee group.
The award was presented to Grainger last week at the PMA annual meeting by PMA President Hallie McClelland.
The award recognizes exceptional service and commitment to the PMA membership as embodied by Nancy Kendall, a founding member of the PMA. Grainger is co-chair of the PMA negotiating committee, a PMA representative on the Western job evaluation committee, and has held several other positions in the past.
In addition, the membership elected a slate of officers for 2009-10. They include Hallie McClelland, president; Jacqueline Hassall, 1st vice-president; Heather Moller, 2nd vice-president; and Sean Wheatley, treasurer.
The association represents about 900 employees on campus.
