Ambitious students in Grades 9 to 12, who excel in math and science, now have the opportunity to explore engineering at the new Western Engineering Summer Academy.
The weeklong sessions start July 20, July 27, August 4 and August 10, 2009.
Students will be taken beyond the Ontario high school curriculum, delving into the world of applied science and engineering in Western’s top research facilities and teaching environments.
“Students can choose from courses in biomedical engineering, green engineering, software engineering and structural engineering,” says Jennifer Hinton, Western Engineering Summer Academy Coordinator.
“The courses are designed specifically for enriched high school students and will include labs, lectures, workshops and site tours.”
