London lawyer and University of Western Ontario alumna Judith Hull (LLB ’94) has been elected President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA).
Hull, who has served on the association’s Board of Directors for six years and two years on its Executive Committee, leads her own practice – Judith Hull & Associates – a personal injury law firm.
Hull, the second woman to lead the OTLA, has strongly advocated for court system reforms to ensure that injured accident victims have effective and affordable access to justice when they are at their most vulnerable. She has also campaigned for reform of the Ontario auto insurance product to ensure full and fair compensation for those seriously injured in road accidents.
Adopting the premise “prevention is better than cure,” Hull actively supports bicycle safety initiatives across Ontario, including the Share the Road Campaign and the Bike Helmets on Kids Campaign.
She has published numerous articles and presented seminars on many aspects of personal injury litigation to a wide range of professional associations.
In 2008, Hull was nominated for the RBC Momentum Award through the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards.
