Fall Perspectives on Teaching Sept. 1
With some students experiencing serious mental health problems on
university and college campuses, more often than not concerns can
first appear in the classroom, residences, or other places outside
of health and counseling.
Tickets still available for family football festival
The Western Mustangs hope to feed off the support of staff and
faculty in attendance at the second annual Mustangs Family Football
Festival when they take on the Laurier Golden Hawks in the 2010
football home opener Sept. 1 (7 p.m.) at TD Waterhouse Stadium.

With classes set to begin in just over two weeks, Ontario Minister
of Training, Colleges and Universities John Milloy swung by Western
Monday to talk about Ontario’s move to a more knowledge-based
economy and improvements to student assistance and financial aid,
including $81M in additional funding.
Health Zone clinics returning to London
Forced to close last year due to lack of provincial funding, two
nurse practitioner-led medical clinics in London, along with a
third location at Merrymount Children’s Centre, will re-open to
once again assist thousands of local residents in need of clinical
and social services.
