The Western Mustangs hope to feed off the support of staff and faculty in attendance at the second annual Mustangs Family Football Festival when they take on the Laurier Golden Hawks in the 2010 football home opener Sept. 1 (7 p.m.) at TD Waterhouse Stadium.
Western, three-time consecutive Yates Cup finalists, will offer staff and faculty free admission to the game. Fans are also invited to enjoy the Family Fun Zone which includes bouncy castles, an obstacle course and an inflatable slide.
“We are excited to continue this tradition after two very successful staff and faculty family events during the 2009-10 season,” says Therese Quigley, director of sports and recreation services at Western. “The feedback we received from those who attended was overwhelmingly positive and we are looking forward to providing another great event for these fans.”
In addition to free admission to the game, staff and faculty will also enjoy a complimentary dinner and children’s games.
