New institute expands expertise in Africa
The University of Western Ontario’s commitment to making a difference in Africa will receive a major boost with the opening of a new institute consolidating Western’s research strengths in the world’s second-largest continent.
Western named among ‘green’ universities
The University of Western Ontario was highlighted by the Princeton Review as part of the second annual edition of its guidebook saluting the most environmentally responsible ‘green’ colleges and universities. Western was one of only three Canadian universities on the list.
Western names Dean of Music
The University of Western Ontario has announced the appointment of Betty Anne Younker as dean of the Don Wright Faculty of Music, beginning a five-year term on Aug. 1. Younker succeeds Robert Wood, who has served two five-year terms as dean since July 1, 2001.
