Lucy’s closed for renovations
Lucy’s and Lucy’s Tim Hortons (Somerville House) will be closed for the month of August while undergoing renovations in order to better service the university community.

Archaeologists from The University of Western Ontario and the Ontario Heritage Trust will search for unmarked graves at Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site in Dresden, Ont. next week.

The Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), University of Toronto and The University of Western Ontario have issued a joint call for proposals inviting interested researchers affiliated with these institutions to submit proposals for an exchange of researchers between the State of Sao Paulo and Canada.
Western astronomer shares discovery of Earth’s first Trojan asteroid
Studying images compiled by NASA, an astronomer from The University of Western Ontario has proved the existence of the first Trojan asteroid found to share Earth’s orbit. The findings of Paul Wiegert and his colleagues at Athabasca University and the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope were published today as the cover story for the July 28 issue of distinguished journal, Nature.
Project eyes healthier Aboriginal youth
A Western collaborative project will assist in the creation of a local network to enhance collaboration among community partners in London and nearby First Nations to promote healthier weights in Aboriginal children and youth.
