Registration is now open for the annual Western Serves day of community service.
Western Serves is a campuswide service-learning program designed to increase social awareness and provide students, staff and faculty with an opportunity to engage together in active service within the London community. The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.
The day kicks off in the Natural Sciences Building, Room 145 with opening remarks by Western President Amit Chakma.
For the service projects, participants will select one of more than 30 available community organizations with whom they wish to serve. Activities range from helping plant trees with ReForest London to painting at the London Humane Society to cooking at the Ronald McDonald House.
Whatever your interest or passion, there is a role for you in Western Serves 2012.
