The Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University will host its annual Music Research Showcase from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at the Talbot College and Music Building.
Throughout the day, faculty and graduate students will present research in diverse formats, including papers outlining research design and analysis; policy analysis; research into community practices from a sociological frame; and lecture recitals.
Also featured throughout the day will be an interactive installation by Musicology and Popular Music professor Jay Hodgson, entitled Raving for Introverts, where visitors can compose music – in this case banging music – simply by walking through the chromacoustic/lumacoustic chamber.
