Western professor Gordon “Oz” Osinski brought astronauts from the Canadian Space Agency and NASA to Kamestastin, also called Mistastin, in northern Labrador for planetary science and lunar geology training. It’s the perfect learning site because the crater and its rock formations – formed by the heat and impact of an asteroid 36 million years ago – mimic the conditions on the surface of the moon.
