The University of Western Ontario community is mourning the recent
death of Dr. Mahdi Al Darwish. Al Darwish, a research fellow in the
Clinical Investigator Program at Schulich School of Medicine &
Dentistry, fell ill and passed away while visiting his family for
the holidays in Saudi Arabia.
Milde appointed as acting dean of Arts and Humanities
Associate professor Michael Milde has been appointed as acting dean
beginning Jan. 1 for a term ending June 30, 2012.
Huron appoints new principal
Stephen McClatchie, Provost and Vice-President, Academic and
Research, Mount Allison University, has been appointed the new
principal of Huron University College effective July 1, 2011.

Revised exam schedule posted
The revised exam schedule for Sunday, Dec. 19 is now available for
students who had exams canceled as a result of Western’s Dec. 15
weather-related closure. The schedule can be accessed <a href=

here</a>. An important note is that previously scheduled 9 a.m.
exam start times will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19.
