Chair/Chief – Division of Forensic Psychiatry

The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, exceptional leader to be the Chair/Chief – Division of Forensic Psychiatry for the Department of Psychiatry.

Together, the hospitals provide comprehensive care to a large and geographically extended population of approximately 1.6 million people across Southwestern Ontario. The successful applicant will have an established career in Forensic Psychiatry and a proven academic and clinical track record as an educator and clinical researcher. Potential candidates would have responsibility over all the academic activities of the division including education, research, and clinical leadership.

Administrative leadership skills are required to assist in strategic and human resource planning within the department and strengthen and cultivate cross and trans-disciplinary relationships with other university departments and faculties. The candidate will foster an environment that supports a strong divisional education program in all levels of education and research. Other primary responsibilities include development and maintenance of a division human resource plan, including recruitment, fostering the development of Forensic sub-specialty residency training and supporting clinical activities and program development.
