Western invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Building on a strong foundation of success, the recruitment of a collaborative and inspirational leader will support the school in raising its profile and impact on the world stage.

The Dean is the chief academic officer of the school and a member of the university’s academic leadership team. Reporting to the Provost & Vice-President (Academic), the Dean is accountable for the school’s strategic vision, for ensuring the academic quality and integrity of its programs and operations, for championing fundraising efforts and strengthening relationships with the greater community, and for enhancing the School’s research profile nationally and worldwide. The successful candidate is an excellent scholar appointable to the rank of full professor, possesses an MD and/or PhD or equivalent, and has extensive administrative experience gained in a medical-doctoral university and/or an academic health sciences environment. The new Dean brings high emotional intelligence, an innovative, strategic, and collaborative leadership style, and a successful track record of change management and mentoring teams.
