Applications are invited for the position of Director, School of Physical Therapy in the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The School of Physical Therapy is a research-intensive unit with innovative professional and graduate programs.

Physical therapy research aligns well with faculty and university strategic investments, including Western’s Bone and Joint Institute, Brain and Mind Institute, and Institute for Earth and Space Exploration. The school is home to the Masters of Physical Therapy (MPT) program; the Masters of Clinical Science program with fields of study in Manipulative Therapy, Wound Healing, Interprofessional Pain Management, and Applied Health Sciences; and leads the Physical Therapy Field in the MSc and PhD programs in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, including the combined MPT PhD program.

The school includes three research chairs and has very strong clinical and academic partners within the London community with international recognition (e.g. Hand & Upper Limb Center, Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic and Parkwood Institute).

The School also holds active research links with the four research centres in the faculty, including the Canadian Center for Activity and Aging, the Center for Research in Health Equity and Social Inclusion, the National Center for Audiology and the International Center for Olympic Studies.
