John Doerksen’s role as Western University’s Vice-Provost (Academic Programs) has been renewed for a three-year term beginning on July 1, 2019.
His re-appointment was approved by Western’s Board of Governors as recommended by the Senate-appointed Vice-Provost (Academic Programs) selection committee.
External reviewers from the universities of Guelph and Waterloo noted Doerksen’s record as a highly respected and valued leader in a complex portfolio that spans across multiple academic units and several administrative functions.
Reviewers also identified potential opportunities to restructure some of the portfolio to align better to changing and emerging priorities. Those recommendations will be reviewed and considered in coming months.
