University of Western Ontario Campus Community Police say the arrest of an alleged intruder offers some relief for students.
Last week,
London Police arrested a man in connection with an alleged incident on Thurman Circle, near Fanshawe College, on Nov. 20. A 28-year old London man faces multiple charges of voyeurism and break and enter.
“It offers some relief and is a good reminder to continue using the various safety precautions prescribed,” says Elgin Austen, director of campus police, adding students should continue to lock doors and windows to protect against intruders.
The investigation of similar reports of a man entering unlocked residences and watching female residents as they sleep remains ongoing.
Timothy Stephen Griffin is charged with
nine counts of break and enter and
nine count of voyeurism.
