Feb 11, 10 p.m. – Heavy rain and melting snow have caused rapidly rising water levels and possible flooding on some areas of the campus at The University of Western Ontario.
Campus Community Police Service are asking all individuals who have cars parked in the Medway parking lot behind Elgin Hall or in the Talbot parking lot to remove their cars immediately. Both parking lots will be closed until flooding danger has passed, and individuals who normally park in those lots are advised to park in the Huron Flats lot near TD Waterhouse Stadium, or in the Althouse College parking lot.
As water levels continue to rise throughout the night and Thursday morning, any cars remaining in the Medway or Talbot lots will be towed.
Some paths near the river will also be closed, and all members of the campus community are advised to keep a safe distance from flood waters.
