Students, remember the rush of adrenaline as you took part in your very first university lecture at Western? Relive those feelings as you take part in one of your last.
This year’s graduating class is being encouraged to attend one last, exclusive lecture to celebrate their accomplishments and prepare for the next chapter of their lives. The annual Last Lecture takes place on April 1.
“When students arrive on campus in first year they participate in O-Week. It is a celebration for first year students and an orientation to life at Western, hosted by the USC,” says Christina Fox, Student and Young Alumni Outreach Officer.
By comparison, Last Lecture offers an elegant reception hosted by the Alumni Association and provides an opportunity for the Class of 2009 to socialize and celebrate their successes.
Last Lecture will be presented 7-9:30 p.m. in the Great Hall with keynote speaker Anwar Mekhayech (BESc.’98), co-host of HGTV’s The Designer Guys and partner of the Design Agency. Guests will be entertained by Western’s favourite guitarist, Rick McGhie.
An after party will follow at the Mansion in London.
