Fanshawe students are turning up the volume at McIntosh Gallery.
A new exhibit opening Thursday at The University of Western Ontario’s McIntosh Gallery showcases the talents of the graduating class of Fanshawe College’s Fine Art Program.
The exhibition, titled Volume, features artwork by 30 students who have completed the three-year diploma program in studio art. The diversity of their studies is represented in the wide variety of media included in the exhibition: acrylic, oil and watercolour paintings, graphite drawings, digital photography, bound books, video and sculpture.
The art will be on display April 9-26.
The exhibit opening will be held on today at 7:30 p.m. and features guest speaker Greg Murphy, chair of the School of Contemporary Media at Fanshawe College.
Representatives of the class will lead a free tour of the exhibition on April 14 at 12:30 p.m.
