The Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing and Iota Omicron Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International will hold its 22nd Annual Research Conference on Friday, May 1 at the Lamplighter Inn and Conference Centre.
Judy Boychuk Duchscher will offer the keynote address, titled “When ‘Knowing’ is Not Enough…Making Your Research MATTER.” Boychuk Duchscher will share her convoluted journey from knowledge to action by recounting her experiences starting a national non-profit support organization for newly graduated nurses in Canada.
Offering poignant and humorous stories about her early professional struggles, Boychuk Duchscher will relate the importance of vision, resilience, determination, authenticity and “grit” to every scholar’s goal to make their research “matter.”
