The recent economic uncertainty has spawned a new crisis in public and private pension plans affecting millions of Canadians.
Pension reform and the future of pensions in Canada will be the topic of a panel discussion hosted by the Faculty of Law. The panel will discuss the current state of pensions in Canada and take questions from the audience.
Participating on the panel will be Michael Lynk, a Western professor of labour law; Robert Brown, professor and pension reform specialist at the University of Waterloo; Mitch Frazer, pension specialist at Torys LLP; retiree Robert Sexsmith; and teacher Janis Mark.
All are welcome to attend the free public event today (Oct. 8) from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Room 36, Faculty of Law, at Western.
The panel is sponsored by the London North Centre Federal Liberal Riding Association.
