1. Plastic bubbles appeared over Western’s tennis courts. A club house will accompany the white domes.
2. The Student Food Bank opens as a joint project between University Students’ Council, Fanshawe Student Union, and the London and Area Food Bank. About 30 per cent of students currently depend on OSAP.
3. The MIDI Instruction Studio opens in the Faculty of Music with Macintosh Classic II workstations. There is a satellite location at Althouse College.
4. The Tae Kwon Do club earns 11 trophies at the San Kim Tae Kwon-Do Championships held on campus.
5. Hockey: Waterloo at Western. First 75 students receive a Coke Water Bottle for “Pack the Place Night.”
6. The “Easy Rider Tour” sees USC meetings move around campus and off campus. The November 25 meeting is planned for Brescia University College. The next meeting may be held in The Spoke, “just for something different” or “at the Chamber of Commerce [to] give the outside community a chance to see what we do” explained USC President Scott Bradley.
