With the exam period quickly approaching (Dec. 11-22), The
University of Western Ontario is urgently seeking more volunteers,
particularly those living in the south-end of the city, willing to
drive students to and from campus in the event the London transit
strike continues.

Two University of Western graduate students were awarded
fellowships last week from the de Souza Institute – an organization
funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
dedicated to providing Ontarians with the world’s best cancer
nursing care.
Pay it forward to help HIV/AIDS relief
Give a Day to World AIDS was started by University of Western
Ontario alumna Dr. Jane Philpott (MD’84) to encourage individuals
to donate a day’s pay from Dec. 1 – World AIDS Day – to help with
HIV/AIDS relief in Africa.

The flag will be at half-mast Thursday, Dec. 3 until 1 p.m. for
former employee of The Book Store, Helen Lutes, who died Nov. 28.
