Western’s Bryn Jones finished in second place in the men’s 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:01.10, to pick up a silver medal at the 2010 CIS Swimming Championships at the University of Toronto.
After qualifying for the ‘A’ Final with the fourth best preliminary time of 1:02.32, Jones shaved 1.22 seconds off the preliminary time in a great swim in the final.
Western’s women’s 400m SC (4x100m) relay team of Ashleigh Dunnington, Hayley Nell, Amber Hutchinson and Alex Cooper also earned a silver in their heat with a time of 3:44.87.
The Mustangs men’s 400m SC (4x100m) relay team of Chris Bento, Brandon Loshusan, Trevor Nicholas and Adam Gomba won its heat in 3:27.52 and finished eighth overall.
