Wednesday 2:30 p.m.: – Electricians have located the source of an electrical problem that led to an outage in seven campus buildings.
University of Western Ontario officials say the problem appears to be with a cable connecting the buildings, however it isn’t known at this point how long it will take to complete repairs.
The buildings, listed below, have been without power since about 10:15 a.m. All of the Ivey HBA classes have been cancelled this afternoon due to the outage.
The buildings affected are: * The Richard Ivey School of Business building (including the National Centre for Management Research & Development)
* Somerville House
* Thames Hall
* 3M Centre
* The Faculty of Law building
* University College
* Stevenson-Lawson Building (Stevenson Lawson Addition)
The buildings are currently using emergency power.
