Huron University College Executive Board, has appointed Trish Fulton as Acting Principal for the period October 1st, 2010 to June 30, 2011.
“We are confident that Dr. Fulton’s extensive experience and deep commitment to Huron will be of great value to the College during this time of transition,” says Executive Board Chair John Leitch.
Fulton replaces Ramona Lumpkin who will be leaving September 30 to assume the appointment of President and Vice-Chancellor of Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax.
Fulton has significant administrative experience at Huron, including a previous appointment as Acting Principal for 1995-96. From 1999 to 2009 she served two five-year terms as Dean of Arts and Social Science and from 1997-99 she chaired the Department of Economics.
Her lengthy history with Huron commenced with her initial appointment as assistant professor of economics in July 1977.
