Stephen Clarkson, one of Canada’s preeminent political scientists and a professor of political economy at the University of Toronto, will deliver the 4th annual Canada/U.S. Law Institute Distinguished Lecture 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 in Western Law’s Moot Court Room.
In his talk entitled “Narcos versus NAFTA: North American Governance after 9/11,” Clarkson will explore how NAFTA has stimulated a deepening of corporatism and eroded social equity. These are trends that have been accentuated by recent securitization arising from the U.S. “wars” on drugs and terrorism.
All are welcome to attend this public lecture. A reception will follow in the main foyer of the Faculty of Law.
