The Western Conference on Science Education, a national collaboration on post-secondary issues across disciplines, is coming to The University of Western Ontario July 6-8.
This novel conference is the first of a triennial series of national meetings inviting faculty and educational staff to venture beyond their traditional disciplines to learn about one another and collaborate on a range of scholarly approaches to improve post-secondary science education.
The conference is organized by Tom Haffie, Faculty of Science learning development coordinator.
Although situated in the context of Canadian science, the conference welcomes participation by colleagues working outside the country, or outside the traditional disciplines of science.
The conference theme of “Pulling Together” connotes both a gathering across the disciplines and a commitment to a common purpose.
