Kirsty Robertson has been awarded the Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English’s Priestley Prize (ACCUTE), which is awarded for the best essay published in English Studies in Canada in a given year.
The visual arts professor was awarded the prize for the “Threads of Hope: The Living Healing Quilt Project,” which appeared in Volume 35 of English Studies in Canada, in a special issue on Aboriginal Redress.
ACCUTE is a professional organization that represents faculty teaching English in Canadian universities and colleges, and students studying English at the graduate level.
