The Western News returns to print with a special issue Thursday, Aug. 25, and resumes its regular weekly schedule starting Thursday, Sept. 8.
Published Aug. 25, the annual ‘Welcome to Western’ issue of the Western News, now in its seventh year, is of interest to undergraduate and graduate students with special application to those who are new to the university and city. Articles provide an introduction to some of the services available to the more than 33,000 students at Western and the affiliate colleges of Brescia, Huron and King’s.

The Western News, now in its 39th year, is the newspaper of record on campus. About 10,000 copies a week are distributed Thursdays during the academic year to more than 50 on-campus locations and numerous off-campus sites including libraries, retailers, City Hall and Covent Garden Market. A popular pdf version of Western News is posted weekly to the homepage, and a searchable online archive contains thousands of articles about Western dating from 1998.
Starting Sept. 8, 14 issues will be published in the fall term, ending on Thursday, Dec. 8. For information, view the full publication schedule at the Western News homepage.
