As a result of recent heavy rain, the Thames River and Medway Creek are at maximum water height with some flooding occurring.
According to Upper Thames Conservation Authority, the river may rise slightly more but very little flooding is expected beyond what we currently are experiencing.
Pedestrians are warned to stay away from the fast-moving water and drivers that are parking in the Medway and Talbot Lots should be aware of the height of the river. Medway and Talbot Lots are the first to flood, but if the water remains at the present height, removal of vehicles will not be necessary.
