With nearly 40,000 Facebook and 16,000 Twitter followers, Rob Carrick’s personal finance advice has a significant following. Add to these numbers Carrick’s tens of thousands Globe and Mail readers and his numerous books on investing and it is easy to see why Western’s Joint Pension Board invited him to speak to pension plan members at an upcoming Annual Pension Information Session.
This session for pension plan members is being held at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 8 from in Social Science Centre, room 2050.
Carrick will be sharing financial insights through his presentation, Achieving a Comfortable Retirement with a Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
In addition to this presentation, there will be information provided by Martin Bélanger, Western’s investments director, about 2013 investment results and investment trends. The meeting provides a great chance to have your questions answered and gather important information to help plan your journey to retirement.
If you cannot make the presentation on May 8, two additional noon-hour pension information sessions are scheduled: 12 p.m. Thursday, May 1 and 12 p.m. Monday, May 5, both in Spencer Engineering Building, room 2202.
The presentations are free and registration is not required, but room capacity is limited.
We encourage you to submit questions in advance of the meeting to Bélanger at mbelang7@uwo.ca.
