On Saturday, Western will lower the flag on University College in honour of Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who was killed Oct. 20 when he was struck by a car while walking through a parking lot in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que. Vincent’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral de Longueuil.
The university’s flags are at half-staff in conjunction with flags being lowered at government buildings and establishments, including the Peace Tower in Ottawa.
