Read. Watch. Listen. introduces you to the personal side of our faculty, staff and alumni. Participants are asked to answer three simple questions about their reading, viewing and listening habits – what one book or newspaper/magazine article is grabbing your attention; what one movie or television show has caught your eye; and what album/song, podcast or radio show are you lending an ear to.
Darren Meister is the John M. Thompson Chair in Engineering Leadership and Innovation.
Today, he takes a turn on Read. Watch. Listen.

Read.
Bad Blood by Jon Carreyrou. This expose of Theranos is one of those narratives that is so unbelievable at times. If it were fiction, it would be criticized for being too “out there.” Stories of greed, courage and stupidity.
Watch.
American Factory on Netflix. A factory outside Dayton, Ohio, is re-opened by a Chinese company, Fuyao Glass. It’s certainly not Ron Howard’s Gung Ho from the 1980s. It’s a complex story that left me with lots of questions and ambiguous feelings.
Listen.
Work Life by Adam Grant. Well-researched and presented by Professor Adam Grant of Wharton Business School. Waiting for the next season to be released as soon as possible.
