London-area fans who were unable to get tickets to Q’s live show at The Grand Theatre on Thursday, March 8 are invited to gather at Western University the following day (Friday, March 9) to listen to the broadcast as it airs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on CBC Radio One. A special Q&A with host Jian Ghomeshi follows from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Thursday night’s sold-out show features Western Brain and Mind Institute neuroscientists Adrian Owen and Jessica Grahn, the Great Lake Swimmers, London born violinist Lara St. John, Mayor Joe Fontana, comedian Elvira Kurt, and curator of the Cultural Hall of Shame, and a cappella YouTube sensation Mike Tompkins.
Q is an energetic, daily arts, culture and entertainment magazine that takes listeners on a smart and surprising ride, interviewing personalities and tackling the cultural issues that matter.
Fans can hear the broadcast Friday at the Western’s Faculty of Education Auditorium, located in the Althouse Building (Room 1050). Doors open at 9:45 a.m. Space is limited and seats are first come, first serve. After the broadcast, Ghomeshi will take questions from the audience.
Althouse is located directly beside Perth Hall at 1137 Western Road. Free parking is available at the Althouse Lot.
