Team Western is teaming up once again to take on the RONA MS Bike Tour July 25-26 and bring an end to multiple sclerosis.
Team captain and Campus Police Sgt. Steve Dykeman anticipates another successful run for the 150-kilometre trek from Grand Bend to London – and back to Grand Bend.
Ontario’s largest two-day tour begins at Lake Huron in Grand Bend, with a quiet ride through rural roads to The University of Western Ontario for an overnight stay. The next morning, riders will cycle back to Grand Bend for a well-deserved massage and finish line barbecue.
“The Bike Tour is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the outdoors with family and friends, but more importantly it’s a chance to raise funds to help the fight against multiple sclerosis,” says Dykeman
He adds the event is not a race, but rather a way to enjoy yourself and raise funds for a great cause. Some ride both legs of the tour, but that’s not necessary.
