Nan Cumming, 78, a retired staff member from Obstetrics and Gynaecology, died Aug. 13.
Cumming, who had 20 years of service at the university before retiring in 1995, is predeceased by her husband Neil, parents Alan and Peggy Reid and brother Terry.
She is survived by nieces Judith Anne Nugent (Kerry Bowman) and Mary Elizabeth Nugent, and was great-aunt to David Culver (Megan) and Daniel, Jonathan and Katie Nugent-Bowman.
Cumming liked nothing better than helping others. Besides her husband, her great loves were family and friends, a succession of cats, road trips in ‘the Doll’, garage sales and pairs ice dancing, for which she won many medals.
The family thanks staff of the Harold and Grace Baker Centre in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
