Western Heads East celebrates success
The Great Hall at The University of Western Ontario will be
transformed into a lively East African Market Mar. 25 as the
university celebrates the successful women-led, micro-enterprise
initiative utilizing probiotic yogurt developed at Western in
response to the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa.
In Memoriam – William E. Clarke
William E. Clarke, a retired staff member from Physical Plant, died
Jan. 9 at the age of 88. The Ailsa Craig resident had 21 years of
service when he retired in 1987.
In Memoriam – Jean Simpson
Former staff member in the Office of Information Analysis, Jean
Simpson, died Feb. 8 at the age of 83. Simpson had 15 years of
service at the university when she retired in 1985. A private
family service was held for Simpson.
