Attend the next Western Wellness Series presentation on “Transition: Staying Resilient During Organizational Change” presented by Family Services Employee Assistance Program. It will be held Wednesday, April 28 from noon to 1 p.m. in the University Community Centre Room 41.
No registration is required.
This presentation will assist participants to identify phases of change, how to cope during each phase, what ‘pitfalls’ to watch out for and when to get professional support. This is an interactive presentation that engages participants to formulate their own plan for a smooth transition in times of workplace change.

Thursday, May 27 – noon-1 p.m., UCC 41 – “Effective Parenting Strategies for School Age Children” (Family Services EAP) This presentation will speak about tested parenting strategies that assist in getting your child’s attention without yelling; encourage your child’s natural gifts and talents; help your child to learn and think for themselves; use discipline for learning and self esteem. Reduce parent stress and enjoy your children more!
Wednesday, June 23 – noon-1 p.m., UCC 41, – “Parenting Teens” (Family Services EAP) Parenting adolescents present special challenges for parents (and teens) and requires a shift in your skills. This presentation will explore developmental changes, your new role, communication strategies, safety concerns and discipline.
