University of Western Ontario Law Dean Ian Holloway, together with students, alumni and friends, will ring the bell to open the Toronto Stock Exchange Thursday (April 29) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school’s founding.
In the years since 1959, Western has grown into one of Canada’s leading law schools, with a base of more than 6,000 alumni who occupy positions of leadership that span the globe. Western enjoys a particular reputation for leadership in the area of business law in the global environment.
The anniversary celebration will also include a gala evening at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York, which will be Western Law’s largest alumni event in its 50 years.
Holloway will be joined by Western President Amit Chakma and the Ontario Attorney General Chris Bentley.
